Visitors Are Welcome Visits help both the patients and family or friends. It is important to remember that people in the hospital need rest and may be particularly sensitive to noise and activity. During your admission, you will be asked if you wish to restrict visitors and telephone calls. If, at any time during your stay, you wish to limit visitors and calls, please tell the nursing staff. Children under 14 years of age may visit relatives and friends with permission from the nursing staff. They should be under adult supervision at all times. Children who have been exposed to chicken pox or are currently ill with a cold, influenza or other contagious illness should not visit the hospital.

Visiting Hours MEDICAL - SURGICAL 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. WOMEN'S HEALTH UNIT Father, siblings, grandparents of the infant -- Anytime. Friends, other relatives -- 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Suggested visiting time -- 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Visits limited to 15 minutes. Visitors are asked to return if the mother is resting or occupied with the infant. PEDIATRICS 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Parents -- Anytime. INTENSIVE CARE Family only, with the approval of the charge nurse. Children (under 14) may visit a hospitalized patient with permission of the nursing staff. Flexible Hours. HOSPICE SUITE Unlimited Visiting Hours Community Care Program District One Hospital will provide a reasonable amount of service at no cost or reduced cost to those who cannot pay. If your family income is below twice the applicable federal poverty guidelines, you may be eligible for no cost or reduced cost services.
