Volunteer Program Turns Over A New Leaf
The District One Hospital volunteer team certainly makes a difference, now it will make one even
more. Nearly 100 volunteers strong and over 6,000 hours contributed, District One Hospital has
begun to expand its program…two new staff members will be instrumental in making that

Health Career Student Explorers Post at DOH
District One Hospital recently invited young men and women ages 14-20 years old and their
parents to attend an informational meeting about Explorers Post. The primary goal of the program
is to expose youth to the varied occupations in health. Explorers will also develop leadership
skills and allow students to develop a better understanding of the importance of teamwork in a
