| Faribault, Minnesota
Spend
some time in Faribault and Rice County and you'll see why
people love living here.
The residents of Faribault and its surrounding region enjoy
safe neighborhoods, affordable housing, high quality public
and private schools, a gorgeous natural setting with a nearby
nature center, and close proximity to Minneapolis-St. Paul
as well as Rochester (about an hour to each city).

All
of those amenities combine with outstanding, accessible
health care to create a high quality of life for the region's
citizens.
That
top quality health care is where District One Hospital comes
in, an acute care hospital with 66 beds (we're licensed
for 99) that serves about 35,000 residents in the southern
half of Rice County. Officially called the "hospital district,"
District One encompasses eight of the 14 townships in Rice
County, as well as the cities of Faribault, Morristown,
and Nerstrand. Two multi-specialty clinics serve the area,
The Faribault Clinic-Allina Medical Group and the Cannon
Valley Clinic-Mayo Health System, and play a major role
in health care. The Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic is one
of four Southeastern Minnesota locations in the Johnston
Hall building on the health care campus.
Residents,
for the most part, can stay in the area when it comes to
seeking health care, thanks to a growing array of services
that is uncommon for a community the size of Faribault.
Accordingly, the concept of responding to a community's
needs truly fits our hospital.
