Auxiliary Membership Is Open to the Public
The Auxilian Advocates for Health invite you to join their organization.
Membership is open to men and women who have an interest in supporting
a positive health status with a special focus on assisting the
hospital with meeting the health needs of the community.
Each year the Auxilian Advocates provide funds for equipment,
programs, scholarships, educational seminars and prescriptions
for school students in need. They also add to their endowment
fund which is half way toward a goal of $100,000. Once the fund
reaches
its goal, interest income will be used to fund additional equipment
and/or programs that benefit the healthcare needs of the Faribault
area.
To support their objectives, fundraising efforts are held through
the year including the midwinter Sensational Samplings event,
and profits from various book, bake, and art sales. Gift shop
revenues are also used for their projects.
New members are always welcome and are invited to attend this
meeting.

Broselow Pediatric Cart Purchased for Hospital
Cheryl Arnold, RN, Emergency Department Manager, uses a small
mannequin the size of a child to demonstrate the color-coded system
utilized with the Broselow Pediatric Cart. The cart is beneficial
in providing emergency care to children of all ages. It provides
quick access of emergency drugs, appropriately sized respiratory
equipment and other equipment necessary in the resuscitation process.
Each of the color-coded drawers contains the medication, supplies
and equipment necessary based on the size or age of the child.
The purchase of this cart was made possible through a combined
donation from the Auxilian Advocates for Health and Sarah M. Beckmann,
M.D..
